Film Band Baaja Baaraat full movie download. Band Baaja Baaraat a film by Jahnu Barua. It is based on a novel of the same name by Mamta Sagar. It was shot at locations in India and in Punjab, Punjab Durban in South Africa, Canada and Thailand. The movie is set in Gujarat in 1985 against the backdrop of social tensions between Hindus and Muslims following the assassination of Mohandas Gandhi by Nathuram Godse (Nathuram Godse) like clashes, killings, riots that occurred after partition 1947 when India became independent from British rule. The film witnesses the story of Sufi musician Dilshad Mubalik (Chirantan Bhatt) , who struggles to preserve the regional Sufi music of Gujarat's Qawwali form against corruption by its chief government functionary Sardar Aziz Khan, and police inspector Rajbeer Singh (Arbaaz Khan).The director wrote the novel titled "Bāja Baāraat" in 1988. After getting permission from Vasantdada Patil, he released his first book/ movie Band Baaja Baaraat on 1 September 1989. The movie was directed by Jahnu Barua and produced by Satish Babu under EGV. The film received positive reviews from critics. The film was declared a "hit" at the box office. It earned around 22 Crores within the first week of release. The movie was watched by close to 2.5 million people. The movie was also declared a Hit at the Box Office of AP State Film Awards in 1992-93(film Section).
